Do You Find Yourself Thinking, “Why do I feel so out of control with eating?”
Are you tired of cycling on and off of diets? Do you want to change your relationship with food? Are you ready to find ways to honour your emotions in other ways besides eating?
Our Freedom from Dieting Group Program examines factors that contribute to how you view food and your body. This is not another weight loss program, but rather a long-term, non-diet approach to help you reconnect with yourself to understand your physical and emotional needs, in order to be able to trust yourself to know what and how much to eat. This is a live program, where you will learn from others just like you, in a group setting
The workshop can help you:
Get off the dieting rollercoaster for good!
Make peace with food – especially those that were/are “off limits”
Shift your focus away from the number on the scale
Learn how to listen and respond to your body’s signals around eating
Take pleasure in eating
Learn how your emotions can affect your eating and learn new coping strategies
Identify your needs and how to meet them
Develop body respect
Discover what joyful movement means to you
Honour your health and well-being
Materials:
The group work is based on the 10 Principles of Intuitive Eating. Prior to the group start date, please order a copy of the Intuitive Eating Workbook, as we will draw on activities from that book weekly.
Registration:
6 sessions, Tuesdays from 7-8:30pm
April 11th to May 16th
This online group is open to residents of Ontario over the age of 18 (pending completion of a questionnaire). Your registration fee of $400 covers all six 90-minute sessions of the group. We can accept a limited number of clients (half) who can submit for insurance, so find out if your health insurance covers group sessions with a registered Dietitian.
